We're thrilled to announce some fantastic news for the community! The Pinewood Road Association (PRA) has successfully secured a $9,500 grant from the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management to bolster wildfire mitigation efforts within our community. This funding will specifically benefit residents of Green Mountain Drive.
The grant will directly address the critical need for slash removal. Residents will be able to place trimmed vegetation along the roadside, and the awarded funds will cover the cost of hiring a professional tree service to chip and remove this material. This systematic approach will significantly reduce potential wildfire fuel in the area.
In addition to the professional removal services, the PRA will be organizing one or more community workdays. These initiatives will provide opportunities for residents to collectively trim trees along roadways and support neighbors in implementing wildfire mitigation strategies on their individual properties.
These proactive steps are essential for increasing the fire resilience of Green Mountain Drive, safeguarding residents, and ensuring clear access for emergency vehicles. The Pinewood Road Association's successful grant acquisition demonstrates a strong commitment to community safety and preparedness. We commend their efforts and look forward to the positive impact of this funding.
