My name is Cindy Claggett, Larimer County Department of Natural Resources District Manager for the South District, which includes Pinewood, Carter Lake, and Flatiron Reservoir, as well as the future Chimney Hollow. I have worked for the department for over 19 years. I even lived off of County Road 18e for two years, and I now live in a different mountain community with similar struggles and benefits as you all face.

I like to keep up communications as one of your neighbors, and the "off season" is a good time for my team and me to do that. You are invited to our neighbor communication meeting on February 10, 2026 from 5:30-6:30 pm at our Administration office at 1800 S. County Road 31 (which you may know as the former "Bison Visitors Center").

In this growing world, the boundaries of our public-access areas and the people using them bubble over into private property and vice versa.  Let's talk about that, as well as managing trash, wildlife attractants, local transportation, the impacts of weather, our emergency-response protocol, and whatever else is on your mind.

We want to get communication flowing in both directions on what we can do better or differently, and make sure we hear each other. I am a strong believer that the strength in any relationship starts and is maintained with communication.

My staff and I love this area and want to protect it.  Let's start from there and see where it takes us.

Cindy Claggett is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting for those that can not attend in person.
