Evacuation Drill 2026
We are excited to announce that the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management has selected our community to participate in an evacuation drill coming up in May.
On Saturday, May 30th, 2026, our neighborhood will conduct a Neighborhood Evacuation Readiness Drill. The goal is simple: practice grabbing your GoBag and safely evacuating to the Loveland Fire Training Center, where we'll then debrief, get details on specific Pinewood Community evacuation information. and enjoy lunch.
The event is sponsored by the Larimer County Office of Emergency Management and will include a test LETA alert to all those who sign-up, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA) & the Larimer County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) will be involved. There will be several community and emergency resource booths along with lunch and swag.
We'll kick off the exercise with our GMRS radios the morning of the event by starting an emergency net. All radio users will check-in, and we will ask you all to reach out to your buddies. LETA will also send an alert to all neighbors who signed up to evacuate. We will hand off Net Control to someone in town and ask everyone to meet at the evacuation meeting point.
Please sign up using the QR code in the above flyer so you get the LETA Alert that will be delivered around 10:30 AM on May 30th (and we can get a count for food).
We are excited to become the most prepared neighborhood we can be.
Thank you for your support.
