Announcing the 2026 Larimer County Community Mitigation Grant Cycle!

The following message is from Josh Roberts Mitigation Coordinator / EOC Planning Section Chief. Larimer County is officially now accepting applications for the 2026 Community Mitigation Grant (CMG) program.



The Community Mitigation Grant program is designed to spark grassroots efforts for mitigation activities. By focusing on the neighborhood scale, this program helps build vital momentum for long-term risk reduction work across our community.


Program Details & Eligibility

This grant is specifically tailored to empower local residents and organizations to take charge of their safety and resilience.


  • Who Can Apply: Eligible applicants include community groups, local non-profit organizations, and charitable foundations.


  • Priority Funding: While various groups are eligible, small grassroots or community groups will take priority over larger non-profit organizations.


  • The Goal: To support projects that reduce risk and encourage community-led mitigation.


Important Deadlines

Don't miss your chance to secure funding for your 2026 projects. The application period is currently open and will close at 11:59 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2025.
