"Is that a bear?"

"How much does he weigh?"

"I bet he eats a LOT!"

Just a few of the questions and comments that we get when we take Bubba for a walk.

He soaks up all of the love and attention that he gets.

He's well known at Jax and in Estes Park after his many visits to both, as well as being a part-time employee at Jim's office in Fort Collins.

I (Leah) first met Bubba at the Humane Society of Larimer County back in July of 2022. It's rare to find a full bred Newfie that has been surrendered but we hit the jackpot.

After some separation anxiety issues, Bubba settled right in and has melted many hearts since he came to live with us. He has adapted perfectly with his mountain surroundings and has become accepted by all the local wildlife from turkey to deer to the elk that frequent our property.

Bubba is always up for getting his picture taken.

He even made the cover of the Second Chances calendar (see above) that the Humane Society puts out every year!

Bubba exemplifies the gentle giant personality that Newfoundlands are known for.  He's never met a stranger (human or otherwise). As long as he's with his people, he's a happy boy.

If you see us out walking, please feel free to

honk or wave or stop and say hi!
